In a move that absolutely no one asked for, Elon Musk and Donald Trump have announced their latest brainchild: Truth X—a social media platform where the only posts allowed are from the two of them. That’s right, no more fake news, no more pesky dissenting opinions, just a never-ending stream of Musk’s galaxy-brained takes and Trump’s all-caps rants. According to Trump, “It’s all the information you’ll ever need.”
Users who sign up for Truth X will be treated to an uninterrupted timeline of Musk’s half-baked AI theories, Tesla stock fluctuations, and reminders that he’s a genius—interspersed with Trump’s trademark tirades about rigged elections, “crooked” political opponents, and whatever he happens to be mad at that morning.
Musk said, “All the good people are tired of being silenced by woke moderators, and Truth X solves that problem by not letting them speak.” Instead, it seems like the only comment option available is a simple “Yes sir, three bags full sir.”
There is some conflict however.
It’s rumored that while Musk wants Truth X to be a subscription-based platform to keep the poor people away, Trump insists some levels should be free because “poor people love me, they just don’t have any money and my tariffs will keep it that way.”
Critics have likened Truth X to a “dictatorship-themed fan club”, pointing out that the lack of opposing viewpoints makes it less of a social media platform and more of a North Korean state-run newspaper, but with way worser grammar. But according to its creators, these concerns are completely unfounded. “Everyone loves it,” Trump assured a Fox News audience. “The best people are saying it’s the greatest platform ever made. And if they’re not, well, they don’t get to say anything.”
Meanwhile, Musk is already brainstorming new features, such as a Neuralink integration that will allow users to receive Truth X updates directly into their brains. “Why waste time reading when we can simply upload the truth into your consciousness?” Musk was overheard telling his young son who was sticking McDonald’s fries up his nose.
In the end, both men say Truth X is not to be ignored. One thing is clear: the truth is only getting more selective.
